Fr Ambrose Pinto, SJ, Memorial Lecture will be held on the 10th January 2020 at St. Joseph's College, Auditorium, from 3.00 - 4.00 PM.

Fr Dr Ambrose Pinto SJ

Dr Ambrose Pinto is a former Director of the Indian Social Institute, New Delhi and until recently the Principal of St Joseph's College (Autonomous) Bangalore, St Joseph's Evening College (Autonomous) Bangalore and then St Aloysius Degree College, Bangalore. He is a Jesuit, priest, writer, teacher, academic and social activist.  He is deeply involved with the issues of national and international interest that affect the humanity and creation at large. His writings deal with the burning issues of today which affect the vulnerable in society - the downtrodden, marginalized, oppressed and voiceless. As a political scientist he deals extensively through the lenses of critical thinking - Dalits, Minorities, fundamentalism, democracy, economics, communalism, secularism, castism, nationalism, ecology and fake patriotism which is being patronised in our country, India. This blog will pursue to put all his writings and thinking in one place. Hopefully, this endeavour will help many men and women to spearhead his cause and thinking.
